Facility

Address: 1578 Finfar Ct, Unit #2, Mississauga, Ontario L5J 4K1
Phone: (647) 724-7366
Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–18:00

The facility is a climate-controlled machining environment held at 20°C ±1° during operating hours. Stable ambient temperature is how we hold ±0.0001" tolerance consistently across a shift and across the day. Standard practice for precision work on titanium, Inconel, Invar 36, and thin-wall aerospace parts — it is not a marketing line.

Direct road access: Highway 401, Highway 403, Highway 407, Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW). Approximately 10 minutes from Pearson International Airport.

2025 Matsuura MX-520 simultaneous 5-axis machining centre

The MX-520 is our flagship machining platform, used for the majority of complex aerospace, defence, medical, and optics work.

Configuration

  • Simultaneous 5-axis machining centre (Matsuura MX-520)
  • Year: 2025
  • Configuration: dual-table pallet changer (automatic palletized operation)
  • Spindle: 20,000 RPM
  • Control: MX-series Matsuura / Fanuc control
  • Repeatable accuracy: 1 micron (0.001 mm)
  • Rigid box-way-equivalent structural design

Why this machine matters for the parts we machine

Simultaneous 5-axis eliminates the multi-setup rework that causes tolerance stack-up on complex aerospace and medical parts. Palletization supports lights-out production on qualified jobs — parts cycle continuously without operator intervention, with the part flow managed through the pallet changer and the tool magazine. The 2025 date matters because machine design has advanced materially in the last several years on thermal compensation, spindle bearing technology, and simultaneous-axis dynamics; we run a current-generation platform, not a mid-life machine.

Fanuc Robodrill α-T14iAL 3-axis machining centre

The Robodrill is our throughput platform for production-volume 3-axis parts where a compact envelope and fast cycle times are the priority.

Configuration

  • 3-axis CNC machining centre (Fanuc Robodrill α-T14iAL)
  • Work envelope: 700 × 380 × 330 mm (X × Y × Z)
  • Palletized operation for unattended cycles
  • Spindle: BT30 taper, high-speed production spindle
  • Control: Fanuc 31i
  • Repeatable accuracy rated to Fanuc α-T14iAL specification

Why this machine matters

The Robodrill α-T14iAL is the workhorse for 3-axis production parts: brackets, plates, housings, fixture components, and any part that fits the 700 × 380 × 330 mm envelope. Palletized operation matters for production runs — the machine does not require an operator at every pallet change, which is what supports 10–500 piece batches without cost inflating on labour.

In-house vibratory finishing

Vibratory finishing is available as a machining add-on, not as a standalone service. Typical uses:

  • Deburring of machined edges
  • Consistent edge break on features where the drawing calls for it
  • Pre-coating surface prep before parts ship to anodizing, passivation, or plating finishers

This is the only finishing operation performed in-house. All other surface treatments — anodizing, passivation, plating, coating, heat treatment, precipitation-hardening — are coordinated through qualified finishing partners per customer PO.

Partner operations (ISO 9001)

We coordinate the following operations through certified partners, with results delivered on one RFQ and one PO:

  • Live-tool CNC turning — for cylindrical features, shafts, and combined milled/turned geometries
  • Precision grinding — where surface finish, cylindricity, or parallelism requirements exceed what milling will deliver
  • CMM inspection — final dimensional verification to ±0.0002" with a certified partner CMM

The partner shops running these operations hold ISO 9001. Partner operation records and CMM reports are passed through to the customer with the shipment. Turning, grinding & CMM service →

CAD interop and programming

  • CAD interop: STEP, IGES, Parasolid (X_T), and native aerospace-industry formats on request
  • Drawings: PDF with GD&T is sufficient for quoting. Native CAD accelerates first-article timing and improves quote accuracy.
  • Postprocessors: maintained in-house for the MX-520 and the Robodrill

Metrology

  • In-house: calibrated measurement equipment appropriate to ±0.0001" in-process verification — micrometers, indicators, height gauges, surface plates, bore gauges, and go/no-go gauging on a documented calibration schedule.
  • Partner CMM: final CMM verification to ±0.0002" through the ISO 9001 partner, delivered with the inspection report per the customer's format.

FAQ

Is the Matsuura MX-520 new?

Yes. Our MX-520 is a 2025 model, a current-generation simultaneous 5-axis machining centre from Matsuura. Machine age matters for thermal compensation, spindle design, and control responsiveness — we run a current-generation platform on purpose.

What makes your facility climate-controlled?

The shop is held at 20°C ±1° during operating hours. That ambient stability is what lets us consistently hold ±0.0001" in-house on titanium, Inconel, 17-4 PH, and Invar 36 work — materials where thermal drift on the part, the fixture, or the machine will cost a tolerance.

Can you quote parts that need turning or grinding?

Yes. Live-tool turning, precision grinding, and CMM inspection are coordinated through ISO 9001 partners on the same RFQ and the same PO, with partner operation records delivered with the parts.

Do you machine unattended?

Yes — on qualified jobs, on the palletized Matsuura MX-520. Lights-out production is available for parts that have completed first-article qualification and where the part, material, and tool life support unattended operation.

What CAD formats do you accept?

STEP, IGES, Parasolid (X_T), and native aerospace-industry formats on request. PDF drawings with GD&T are sufficient for quoting — STEP accelerates first-article timing and improves quote accuracy.

Is the partner CMM on-site?

No — CMM inspection is performed at an ISO 9001 partner facility. Parts move between our shop and the partner on a dedicated logistics flow, and the CMM report is delivered with the parts in the shipment to the customer.
